The tools you will need are:
- A background piece -- in this case it is a felted purse I will decorate with needle felting.
- A foam cushion that will serve as the suface under your work. The needle will be poking through the fiber you are
decorating with and down into the background. This pad will be a soft backing for the needle to end up in (instead of
punching onto your table.)
- The felting needle. Use a single needle or multiple needles secured in a holder (there are many styles and
materials for these things, I got mine at Mielke's Fiber Arts
- Some fiber to decorate with
